It is really hard for me to say but...

Sorry guys there haven't been any posts because my computer is on the blink. In the last two days I haven't been able to get on much and when I do the computer constantly freezes up or takes a very long time to do anything. With all the extra time though I have found time to play with my kids more, get to the gym, and organize my house. That's a lot for 2 days!! I feel better and I think my family does too. Anyway with this being said I have decided to stop writing the blog. It makes me so sad. I just had business cards printed!! What am I going to do with all those business cards? So I will still be out there couponing, saving, and grabbing all the freebies I can I just won't be blogging about it any more. If you are looking for someone to replace me then here are a couple of blogs to take a look at if you don't already.

65% off your dinner out

If you are like me and have heard about but you haven't tried it out yet then here is the deal for you. Right now if you check out using code DINE then instead of paying $10 for a $25 certificate you will pay $2!! If you join Cashbaq first then you will get $5 for signing up and another $0.50 for buying your certificate through the link on their site. That means you spend $2 and get $5.50 in your Cashbaq account. Or you can just pay $2 for the certificate. Either way you will be getting a good deal. I bought three certificates. They are were all $2 each. They are good for $25 when I spend $35 so for $12 I will get a $35 meal out. That's over 65% off!! Let me know if you have questions and if it works for you. BTW you print this off your computer so if you buy one now you can use it tonight!

Earn from Home

It's Friday so it is time for another edition of "Earn from Home". Today I am talking about Swagbucks. I have done a post on this before but I have now been usung it for a couple weeks and I wanted to give my opinion on if it is worth it or not. At first I wasn't that impressed but I realized the problem is me! I am really forgetful so I kept forgeting to use their search engine. I have started opening a Swagbucks window when I turn the computer on and then minimizing it until I need to search for something. Since then I have started earning a couple Swagbucks a day. Right now I am up to 20. I have only been really working at it a few days. A $5 Amazon gift card is 45 points so I am almost half way there. Since I am earning point for something I would be doing anyway I think it is worth it. I figure I can save my points to buy gift cards or gifts for people. If you have had an experience with Swagbucks good or bad please leave a comment below.

The Blog

Okay everyone I have been running this blog for a less than a month but already I am experiencing burn out. I had no idea how much time it would take. I feel like I spend my whole day looking for good deals to share. Sometimes I don't even have time to go out and get my own good deals!! So I need you advice. If you have a blog how do you do it? How much time are you spending running it? I have a nine month old and a two year old maybe my kids are just to little and still require too much time? Please leave you suggestions and comments below. I am really considering pulling the plug.

Money Maker at CVS

At CVS this week you get $10 EBC when you buy 2 Neutrogena Facial Moisturizer or Sun Care products (Limit 1). For some reason this deal is also supposedly working on Neutrogena facial bar soap (3.5 oz bar) that is $2.99. So you buy 2 for $5.98 and get $10 EBC back!

Thanks Money Saving Mom!

Free Crest Whitestrips

You can get a free sample of Crest Whitestrips and a $7 coupon by going here.

Kroger Trip

Okay I know I really need to get back to taking pictures but I keep forgetting and I put everything away and then remember darn I should have taken a picture. So sorry but it is just another list today. Here is what I got.
4-boxes Care Bear Fruit Snacks
2-4 roll packages Cottonelle
1-can Beefaroni
1-12oz Honey Ham lunch meat
2-Grands Biscuits
1-Half Gallon Blue Bell Ice Cream
2-Kroger Brand Shredded Cheese
2-large boxes Pop Tarts
1-lb. Baby Carrots
1-12 oz bag Wacky Mac pasta
1-box Betty Crocker muffin mix

I paid $19.88 OOP. I saved $19.89 with sales and coupons which is 49% off the regular price. Not the best week I have every had but hey 49% is still almost half off. BTW my hubby is off today for President's Day so the posts will be kinda thin. We will be back to regular scheduled programing tomorrow.

No Coupons

I don't normally post on Sunday but I just wanted to let everyone know there are no coupons in the paper this Sunday. I'm disappointed but I guess this happens around a holiday. Monday is President's Day. I think it's a pretty lame excuse. I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Albertson's Trip

I also went to Albertson's yesterday. I bought the milk and bread they had on sale and then some Valentine's stuff for my hubby. So it wasn't a very exciting trip . Then at check out the cashier ask it I was collecting Monopoly game pieces. I somehow managed to earn 5 in this one little trip. When I got home and opened them I found I was an instant winner and won an 18 oz. jar of JIF peanut butter so it wasn't a wasted trip after all.

Walgreen's Trip

WOW! Did I get a deal! I went to Walgreen's in search of Scrubbing Bubble wipes (which they were still out of) and my FREE Glade Sense & Spray (from this post). Well as you will remember the Sense and Sprays were supposed to be $9.99-B1G1 Q-$4/1 Q=$5.99 for 2 then you get $3 EasySaver Rebate for each of them making them free but when I went to my Walgreen's they were only $8.99! I bought 4 because that is the EasySaver Rebate limit. I paid $10.80 with tax but I should get back $12.00 EasySaver rebate. Needless to say it you haven't gotten yours yet you should go to Walgreen's today!

Earn From Home

The question I think I have gotten the most from friends, family, and blog readers is not about saving at all. Every time I tell someone I am trying to make this blog into a part time job they ask "How are you going to do that?" Well really you do it one penny at a time. As of today I have had this blog for two weeks. That is not very long to get an accurate idea of how much money I can make but I am making some so I thought I would answer everyone's question of how in this week "Earn From Home". There are lots of resources and books out there on how to earn money. I am only telling you what I do. There maybe a better way for you.

1. If you have a blogger account the easiest way to earn is to add Google AdSense to your blog. When you are customizing your blog and you click add a gadget you can select Google AdSense. It is very easy set up your account. You get paid for impressions which is when people look at your blog thus seeing the ads and you get even more if people click on the ads. You only make pennies unless people click on your ads. If someone clicks on one of my ads it seems like I get anywhere from 15¢-40¢ per click. I'm sure it depends on Google's deal with that advertiser. This is not a way to make a lot of money but it is easy and Google does all the work in choosing ads that fit the content of your blog.

2. The way I have made the most money is by being an Affiliate. There are tons of affiliate marketing companies but I only can tell you about the three that I work with. My favorite by far is Logical Media. With this type of advertising you only get paid if your readers click on the ad and follow through. With some offers all they have to do is provide an e-mail, sometimes they sign up to receive something, sometimes they have to purchase something. It depends on the campaign. You get paid a lot more per click. I have run lots of campaigns on my site already and the commission has ranged anywhere from 65¢-$9.50 per lead. I really like their site. It is easy to use and they have hundreds of campaigns to choose from so you can find advertising to fit your blog readers.

3. I also do affiliate advertising with Commision Junction. I haven't had much success with them but you might.

4. The last company I work with is They provide the coupon bar on the right side of my blog. I haven't made much with them but I get a little every time someone prints a coupon from my blog using the tool bar. I would probably have the tool bar there even if they didn't pay me because it is a great resource for my readers but don't tell them that. That is the most important thing I look for in advertising. Is it relevant to my readers. If it is something I think you can use or will help you save money or give you something for free then that's great. If not then it's probably not good for my blog.

This is a really long post. I hope it answered everyone's questions. If not then please contact me using the box on the right side of the blog.

Happy Savings (and hopefully earning)!

Walgreen's Horror Trip

As you know I was really sick yesterday and so I went to the doctor. Thankfully he gave me a prescription for an antibiotic. So I thought I would go over to Walgreen's and get some good deals while I was getting my meds. It was the worst experience. They have razor's on sale this week for FREE after manufacture's coupon and Register Rewards. Only my RR weren't printing. I ask for a manager and she told me I couldn't get RR if I used a coupon which I have been told by Stephanie over a Couponing101 is not true. So after arguing with her for a minute I could see she wasn't going to fix it. So I bought the other items I came for 2 bottles of Windex (Free after coupon and rebate) and shampoo (Free after rebate). I get everyone back in the car and went across the street to pick up my prescription at CVS because I am so mad at Walgreen's. When I get back in the car I realize one of my Windex bottles was not closed properly and spilled the entire bottle all over my car. Now I am really mad. I go back to Walgreen's and drive through the pharmacy drive through. I was too sick to get out of the car with my baby and toddler again. They got the manager who thankfully this time was very nice. She gave me a new bottle and apologized. You would think this would be the end of the bad luck but no I got home and realized the Windex had spilled all over the receipt erasing it. I needed the receipt for my mail in rebates. So I had to call and try and get the receipt code from the manager. She said she had to create a new receipt by pretending to exchange the items but I don't know if that will work to get my rebate so I entered it in anyway and I guess I will find out at the end of the month. Needless to say it was a nightmare especially since I was sick and my two year old was not having a good day. It will take a really good deal to make me go back to Walgreen's and try again. I feel better now. Thanks for listening.

Earn From Home

***UPDATED****Thanks to A Frugal Friend (see comment below) I took Dollar Surveys off but she said she makes good money on Ipsos Survey. Thanks for the input!!

I thought I would try to start a new segment on earning money from home. I might run out of ideas after the first few posts but here is your first edition of "Earn From Home"-Surveys/E-mails. There are a ton of companies that will pay you to do surveys and/or read e-mails from home. I don't personally belong to all these panels but here is a list of survey/e-mail companies. Every site is different in how they pay and how much. If you really want to make money doing surveys you need to sign up with several companies because in my experience each one will only send you a few surveys a month. At first you might get a lot because you are new but then it usually dies down to a few a month. I find it interesting to see what new products and marketing campaigns are out there. Reading e-mail usually only pays 2¢-10¢ an e-mail. Since all you have to do is open something and click it doesn't take long but it could take awhile to see all those pennies add up to something. Most e-mail companies will pay you to sign up others. Sometimes it is a flat fee or sometimes you make a specified amount for every e-mail your referral reads. If you want to give it a try here are 7 companies to check out. Please note I don't personally belong to all of these companies.

Ipsos Survey-You could win $5000 by joining the Ipsos i-Say Panel
and sharing your opinion.
SnapDollars-Get paid to try out new products, read emails, complete surveys, and more!
My View Survey Panel-Surfers who join My View can take part in surveys, movie screeners and magazine test covers and get paid cash.
Panda Research-Surveys Earn a $5 sign up bonus
The Survey Doctor-The will send you paid survey opportunities. Earn $10 instantly! Work at home online and earn money Instantly! No Fees Ever!
Send Earnings-Users Get paid to read emails & more. $5.00 sign up bonus.

If you need more I could come up with a few. Just e-mail me. If you have an idea for future "Earn From Home" segments please let me know.

I just wanted to let you guys know I will be stepping away from the blog this weekend. My family and I will be going out of town for the weekend. I will try to keep you posted if I come across any major deals but there will definitely be fewer posts this weekend. I promise to come back refreshed and with tons of savings on Monday. I better start packing now!

Valentine's Day on a Dime

Okay so personally I think Valentine's Day is a made up holiday. That being said if my husband ignores it then he is dead! In this economy though I'm sure a lot of people are going to be trying to find more frugal ways to celebrate. Click here to download the free ebook Valentine's Day On A Dime.

Thanks to A Heart 4 Home for the great post and Money Saving Mom for the re-post!! I really love Money Saving Mom she has a lot of great money saving tips and twice she has posted links to posts from my blog so thanks again!!

Albertson's Monopoly Game

Albertson's is running a new gimmick, I mean promotion :-) Every time you shop a Albertson's you will be given a Monopoly game piece. You can also win bonus pieces by buying specially marked products. I received three game pieces for my trip yesterday. Each game piece contains 4 markers and a money saving coupon. Careful when you open them I accidentally tore one of my coupons yesterday. The coupons are Albertson's in store coupons so they cannot be doubled or tripled but you should be able to use them with a manufacture's coupon. Yesterday I got (2) 25¢ off (1) 24 pack Pepsi Product and (1) 50¢ off Albertson's Ketchup 28 oz or larger. BTW The markers are not stickers you have to lick the back to stick them to your game board. I couldn't find any end date for this promotion it just says while supplies last. Good luck everyone! If you win anything please let me know.

***UPDATE*** I should have read the title a little closer this is a preview of what we can expect next week. Starting on 2/8. You can check these out and I will have a full list available on 2/9.~Sorry for the confusion.

Couponing101 has some more great deals for CVS and Walgreen's. The savings just never stop!!

Happy Savings!

CVS Trip

Now you guys know why there weren't any posts this morning. I went everywhere!! Here is what I got at CVS:

1-box Disney Princess Valentines with/suckers
2-packages (30ct) L'Oreal Revitalift Cleanser Toweletts

ECB's Used-$15.00
Man. Coupons-$3.00
Total OOP-$5.79
ECB's Earned-$7.99
It's like they paid me $2.20 to buy this stuff!! I wanted to get Excedrin too because that is free after ECB but my CVS was all out.

Albertson's Trip

I didn't take a picture of my Albertson's Trip. So here is what I got:

1-bag Bird's Eye frozen broccoli
1-can Betty Crocker frosting
1-6 pack Dano-nino Yoplait yogurt
3-cans Pringles
1-half gallon Good Day OJ
1-can Progresso soup
2-pints Blue Bell ice cream
2-bottles Sobe Life Water (My Albertson's had $0.40 off coupons stuck to the bottles. So my final price was $0.20 a bottle)
6.3-lbs. Seasoned Petite Sirloin Steak (They are running a buy 1 get 2 free special. Regular price is $7.99/lb. When you buy three it's like getting it for $2.64/lb.)

My total after sales and coupons was $24.37. I saved $49.38 off the regular price. That's 67% off the regular price!

Walgreen's Trip

I'm still pretty new to Walgreen's. Their system is much more complicated than CVS. So I haven't been buying much from there but I went today and got:
1-Termacare Trial Pack
1-bag (9.2 oz) Reese Mini's
1-bag (9.2 oz) Hershey's Kisses

Total OOP-$4.42
Mail In Rebate-$2.49
Final Cost-$1.93

I'll let you guys know how the mail in rebate goes. You are supposed to be able to do it online.

Golf Magazine

No one in our house is that into golf but if you have a golf enthusiast in your house you can get them a free subscription to Golf Magazine here.

Here's how it works:

1. Go to Mr. Rebates and sign up for an account.

2. Then shop at your favorite sites through the Mr. Rebates website and earn up to 20% back in rebates.

If you haven't redeemed your free $10 at QVC (see post here) Then you can sign up your QVC account then head on over to Mr. Rebates. Buy your $10 in QVC stuff there and earn an extra 4%!!

FREE $10 @ QVC

In my constant quest for all things free and discounted I ran across this link. If you sign up a free QVC account they will give you $10 to spend. I just got a pack of DVD-R disks. I thought the shipping was really high but with my $10 discount they only cost me $1.56 which is still a good deal.

Just Starting out

If you are new to couponing or the world of free things then welcome. I have only been doing it for a short time but let me warn you it is addictive. It may seem overwhelming at first so take it one step at a time.

1. Get the paper: The Sunday paper is the best source for grocery coupons so either subscribe to have it delivered or by one every weekend. If you buy one at the store you can usually find a double coupon addition for $2.00 instead of the normal price of $1.50. It's definitely worth the extra $.50.

2. Organize: You need a system for organizing your coupons. You can buy a 13 category organizer that will fit in you bag at most stores. I got mine at Target. It was $3.99. Most serious couponers I know though use a binder. You can use any size regular 3 ring binder and fill it with page protectors and baseball card sheets. Then you use dividers to separate the different types of coupons and put each one in it's on space on the baseball card sheet.

3. Go at your own pace: You can read about great deals at hundreds of stores on the internet but this can get very overwhelming. So go at your own pace. Pick a couple of stores that you like that are near you. If you have to drive all over town you are not saving as much. You gas and time are worth money too!

4. Have a plan: When you go make a list and pull out the coupons you think you will need ahead of time. I always take all my coupons with me in case I find a good sale on something I wasn't planning on buying but I try to have the coupons I know I am going to use out and ready before I check out. This will save you a lot of frustration at check out time.

Have another tip or a questions? Please let me know. I would LOVE to hear from you. Also you can sign up on the right to follow my blog.

Happy saving!
